1. Great units. My old band done our debut and second album on one of these. Fantastic price too. Someone should snap this up!!
2. Chris just sent me over some pictures..... As you can see, some slight buckle rash on the back as one would expect from a gigged bass, but apart from that it looks in damn good nick.
3. Bump.... going to push for pics..
4. Bump! Had to snigger..... had a derisory offer on ebay (very quickly declined) after the punter sent me a message asking if he could record using these. I said of course but don't expect Neumann type results and that they were probably more suited for live work. He then said "so these are crap then? Why are you selling crap mics?" Honestly... some people!!
5. Still clearing out the sheds.... this list may well be added to! PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS ALL UP ON EBAY AS B.I.N SO COULD GET PULLED AT ANYTIME! IF YOU WANT THE ITEM PLEASE BE SINCERE AS I'LL PULL THE AUCTIONS ON GOOD FAITH. First up... [s]PEAVEY PV6 6 Channel Mixer (non USB version) Really cool little micro mixer that I used to submix drums on. Really usefull features like a 80hz low cut, 48v phantom power, effects send, tape i/o and a preset contour. I'm no longer playing in bands so this is surplus to requirements. I cannot find the PSU for this, but you can find them on ebay for just under £20 + delivery. This unit would cost about £80 brand new on ebay... so on offer here without the PSU for only £34.00 including delivery. [/s]WITHDRAWN..... BLOWN POWER RELAY (Red Clip Lights of DEATH!!) SHINYBOW SB-3705 4 x Stereo Audio Distributor I bought this for a project that never got off the ground, so it is practically unused. Simple to use... send a stereo signal into the box and it will allow you to distribute in stereo to 4 other units with no loss of quality in sound. Great for hooking up subs etc. Unit has female phono inserts and outputs but I will also throw in 10 stereo female jack to male phono adaptors. Some of these have cracks in the plastic casing but they work perfectly. Usual scratches from rack mounting and some residue of velcro stickers but other than that it's fine. Comes with a PSU. £35.00 including postage. MOTU (Mark Of The Unicorn) MTP-AV Midi timepiece 19" rackmount. Essential unit for making all your midi goodies talk to each other. It's a MOTU!!! £70 delivered AUDIO CABLE TESTER FROM LYON FORGE Never get let down by a dodgy lead again!! This little box tests all kinds of cables with same or differing connections... just plug the cables in to each side and the unit will light up to show you if the cable is good or not. Accepts TRS/Jack, DIN, Phono, XLR, Speakon and Banana. Battery operated. These metal units are more robust than the cheap Behringer units and retail at just under £50.00 Only [s]£30.00[/s] delivered.SOLD!
6. Four multicore studio looms taken from my recently decommissioned home studio. 3 x 8 channel mono jack to jack (1 x 3 metre and 2 x 6 metre approx) 1 x 3 metre 16 channel mono jack to jack All connectors have been tested and appear to be working. [s]£45.00 posted to the UK[/s]SOLD.... CASH IN THE HAND!!
7. Drum Microphone set. 'EAGLE G158J' I think these are a Korean 'Shure' clone. The set consists of: 1 x bass drum mic (punchy response with deep resonating lows) 3 x snare/tom mics (really cut through!) 1 x Stagg bass drum mic stand (weighted base and adjustable height pole) 3 x drum clip holders (attach to rim of drums) 4 x 1.5m yellow balanced xlr leads (all tested and working) 1 x aluminium flightcase (a little worn and with home cut foam insert, but it does the job!) I have owned this set from new for about 6 years and it has been used very sparingly.... possibly a dozen gigs at the most. Stored in it's case when not in use. Mics and clips have some small scratch marks through normal use but nothing major) Mics alone cost £140 when new. [s]On offer here with the extras for £70 posted. I did have this up on another thread for £60, but that was without postage and the xlr's.... so I think the other tenner is fair.[/s] ALL SOLD.... THANKS FOR YOUR INTEREST.
8. I actually quite like the tonality of an open A string when you're riding along, especially with a fresh set. Always fret D & G's though for some reason.
9. Although not a televised show as such, this clip is advertising Sammy Hagar's new autobiography 'RED' which covers his career in music. In order to highlight a passage in his book which concentrates on Eddie Van Halen's alcoholism, he has used footage from their 2004 reunion tour and (IMO) altered the mix to show how messed up Eddie was at the time (1:14) after showing the same song at their 1991 prime. Granted the footage is bloody awful.... Eddie was battling drink and drug addiction and going through hell everyday. But I feel that this is an absolute cheap shot by Sammy on a guy who was quite obviously messed up. And just to sell a book!!
10. Bump and price drop... £48.00 posted or £43 collected.
11. Now on Ebay
12. Bump. This bass has some decent provenence and is in great condition.
13. Advertising for a friend. Chris Childs (ex Thunder, Paul Young, Then Jericho Bassist) currently touring with The Union (but also plays with The Ultimate Eagles and Shadowland) has asked if I could advertise this bass here. Black Stingray 4 string with Rosewood board. Used to record Thunder's Shooting At The Sun comeback album. No pictures but I have provided a link to a live track played acoustically from the album which I think shows the bass (as well as my baldy head in the front row!!). £700.00 PM me if interested and I'll pass on your contact details to Chris.

15. Depth of open unit is 53cm and 42cm height (not including mixer racks).
16. Only gigged a couple of times. Can't remember if it is an 8U or a 10U... I'll find out tomorrow when I dive into the shed and take some pictures. Removeable top and front cover and with large hatched door at the back with a cooling hole. Black ply construction with ali sides and metal corners. Slanted top rack to mount your 19" mixer. Very similar to this unit but without the castors. £50 collected from Norfolk or can post for £20 extra.
17. Price drop...... £55.00 posted or £50 collected.
18.
Hey that was a genuine offer Gareth, The layby may have connections to the dogging community but 2am was the only time I could manage, The steamy windows was just because we had a bag of chips on the way, There was no need to turn around and drive off!
And he was willing to give you a warm friendly shake!
19.
Or £8000 worth of loose women.
I asked the wife, but you may be able to guess what her response was! See everyone when I get back from A&E!!!
20. My old band used this unit really well for close monitoring when recording live in the studio. Each channel has compression, limiter and bass enhancement. Main xlr and jack inputs with a db cut. Separate channel inputs and eight outputs (four on each channel). 19" rack mount 1u tall. A cracking addition to any setup. £65 posted.
21. Two books by Bill Gibson which comprehensively cover all aspects of home multimedia recording. Come with 2 sample CD's. Cost was $60 each when new in 2001. £20 plus postage for both.
22. Great switched vocal mic. Some slight wear on the grill and around the xlr socket.... the usual stuff. Switch works fine. £45 posted?
23. I got his for my 8yo son but he can't be dragged away from his playstation to learn, so it's up for sale. The upgrades include an 8" mesh dual trigger snare (there is a very slight tear in the mesh but it hasn't affected the triggering yet.... these can be bought for £15 off the bay), an extra rubber pad, the 'full' cymbals including a dual trigger ride which offers bell and rim, and a yamaha bass drum pedal. Pads show the usual wear marks.... including a 'star' which my Son thought would be fun to do..... let's just say he lost his pocket money for the week!!! I would keep this for myself, but I'm nearly as good a drummer as I am a bass player so here it is!!! Buyer to collect from Carbrooke, near Watton, Norfolk..... I will not post this, so please don't ask about couriers. I'll leave it up for a week or so.... if no joy then off to the bay I go. £450..... no offers as it is a bit of a steal!
