1. Well i played my largest gig ever with the band yesterday! This was at CultureShock Festival in Northallerton and we were the local band support on the Main Stage for BoyKillBoy and Utah Saints. We played to over 300 people, which isnt bad i dont think considering the appalling weather!! Pedalboard malfunction though halfway through our last song, i lost power to half my board! ARGH!!!!!!!!! Rich
 2.
I'd be looking at a Korg AX-3000B. I have one of their little Ampworks boxes that has a similar modeling engine. You can do things like select a Patch, then switch to Individual mode to toggle each effect on or off.
+1000 on the AX3000B it truly is an amazing piece of kit and it can also be combined with other stomps really well! Ive had it for nearly 2 years now and it has never let me down! Rich
 3. Nice spot! I am very excited about that Bass Big Muff and the Micro Synth

 5. Nice find!! LMFAO when he picks up a bass
 6.
my board as it stands now, and will do for a while i think, everythin i need is on there, includin my favourite fuzz of all time which i FINALLY managed to find n buy again (i had one and sold about this time last year coz of no rent money!) Brilliant
Your pedalboard has undergone many changes that's for sure! This is quite a neat little board, what ever happened to your Deep Impact though?
 7. Received a fantastic WOBO Double Looper from Andy today, posted recorded delivery. It arrived in smashing time and a works a treat, in practically bomb proof packaging, bubble wrapped to the maximum! It's in great condition and i got it for a pretty decent price aswell. So yeah i'd definitely deal again with Alien again. Cheers, Rich
 8. I don't normally do this, but have a massive BUMP from me cause this truly is an awesome piece of kit and a stellar price
 9. BOTB last night in Darlington @ the Forum Well first gig in Darlington for us so we didn't know what to expect and although we knew absolutely NOBODY and knowing that the audience would be voting to decide the winner, we piled on stage anyway. It's all going great, playing to a decent sized crowd, thankfully they had the decency to give us a listen although they didn't know us and..... SILENCE. I go to turn on my octaver and knock out the power supply! Gutted like a fish! I felt like a right tool, especially as i'm in a very bass reliant band and right as my moment to shine popped up it blew it!! It took me till the end of the song to realise what had happened. SOUND MEN DESCEND TO THE STAGE!!! Three or so men in black descend to check the bass amp and the DI box to source the problem of the abrupt cutout. I eventually owned up! I am never playing with my stomp boxes again without batteries in their to back them up just in case! Having said that out set went well on the whole. We didn't win, a TEN PIECE SKA BAND with massive home support did, but i think i saw that coming. I would've loved to have been playing bass with them that evening, atleast then i wouldn't have had to worry about the stupid number of pedals under my feet. Rich
 10. Hey there Well im coming round to buying myself a fairly large pedal board, and i was interested what makes people would recommend. I am quite interested in either a Diago or an NSP board, but i have found that Spider cases are quite cheaper and of a similar size. Does anybody have any experience with these boards? If i went with a Diago i would have to buy the Tourman and i was wondering how durable their construction is in comparison to the metal edged Spider boards. Thanks, Rich [post="0"]Spider Engineering XLarge Case[/post]

 12.
And here are some things that you definitley can't listen to: Jazz (ANY) Jamiroquai Radiohead Keane Metallica Blink182 Offspring Dream Theatre Muse Bowling for Soup Alien Ant Farm The Smashing Pumpkins Manic Street Preachers SlipKnot Rage Against the Machines Marilyn Manson Fun Lovin Criminals Mark King King Crimson Cream Anything that could be considered "Nu Rave" Any band with a name invented to upset parents. I've kept the second list short to prove I'm not a negative person.
It is quite funny how many of those bands in that list which i really like. And no that's not the Nu-Metal before anyone starts! Come on though, MUSE, RADIOHEAD! What's not to like?!
 13. Personally, i think Radiohead are fantastic and a real credit to modern music. Ok Computer is of course an alltime classic and i don't think it's far from being one of the best albums of the 20th Century, but my personal favourite is Hail To The Thief, that's a great album and has some meaty basslines for sure. I'm going to see them in Manchester in June and i can't wait ! Rich
 14.
a fantastic rock bassist that plays today is Jared Followill from Kings of Leon, he is my biggest inspiration on the bass the way he incorporates licks with punchy root is awsome!...Honestly if you have listened to kings of leon before do it now, listen to Razz off the second album aha shake heartbreak, or joes head from their 1st youth and young manhood, or near enough any track off their new album because of the times.
Jared is a fantastic player, they really lit up the whole evening last year at Leeds Festival and their new album transfers very well to a live environment, definitely go see them if you have the chance!
 15. Yeah the Boss GEB-7 is really good and is bass specific. And as it's Boss it's built like a Brick Sh1t House! I've got one and it's really useful, it has a 7 band eq and a level!
 16.
Mmmm.... so the Schaller is a better design? But you still have to check it every gig, in case the screw is loose!! As mentioned many times here on BC, the major Schaller fault seems to be the screw loosening which can drop your bass on the floor. My experience is that in 20 years I have never checked the Dunlop strap locks on my 3 basses, as they don't fail.
I am a massive fan of Schaller locks and they have never failed me. Admittedly i have had to tighten them on my Thunderbird, but only the once, and this is after over a year of fitting them.
 17.
Absolutely cracking stuff and a great sound. Just brilliant. So glad the music has been sensitively recorded and not had the life squeezed out of it by overproduction/compression etc, you guys deserve some real attention - dynamic, thoughtful and fresh sounding. Instant fan here guys.
Hey thanks alot for your comment! Im really glad you like our stuff, it does have quite an accesible mix to be fair but i was pleasently suprised when we first got back our efforts, i'm glad my bass still thunders through! And The Funk thanks for your feedback anyway! Everyones entitled to their opinion, im just sorry it's not to your liking. To anyone else who has had a listen, thanks a bunch! Any/ALL feedback is totally welcome! Rich
 18.
here's my board looking a little bit messy.
Thats looking pretty sweet, loving your Wah btw and ofcourse your compulsory RAGE overdrive - Comptortion is it? Isnt this loads smaller than your previous board though, what prompted the downsize? Rich
 19. Hey everyone! Well after 3 hard days of graft in February and weeks afterwards mixing, we finally have our new Ep! It's entitled MY SUNLIGHT and i would be very grateful if you could come over and have a listen and see what you think. Many thanks, Rich www.myspace.com/eskimosandwich
 20.
I heard they got Myxomatosis.
i was gonna put that
 21.
Don't bother then, seriously cheap effects generally sound cheap wait till you've got a bit more cash together and get something worth the money.
Would of the aforementioned pedals really be that poor in comparison to a more expensive boutique pedal per say? I understand about buying quality equipment but i was under the impression that such EHX pedals were quite nice.
 22. Yeah im also really interested in buying a phaser. I would like something quite pronounced if thats any help. I'm looking at an EHX Small Stone, but id like to know, other than the pedal board footprint and the handy 9v negative tip input of the NANO, is there any difference in the sound between the NYC model, the Russian and the NANOs all in production at the moment? Which would you all recommend, baring in mind i dont really want to spend over £50 on one, which could ofcourse rule out the MXR Phase 90. Sorry if that was really wordy! Thanks, Rich
 23. Hey! Well i am a massive believer in the AX3000B and for me it is perfect! I use it in conjunction with other singles, hence my signature, but i would be more than confident to use it on it's own as i used to. The amp modelling is quite nice on this pedal i think, to be honest i've never been a massive fan of the concept, but there's some really nice O/Ds and Fuzzes on here. Personally i use it mainly for modulation, as i can really go mental combining FX for some of the spaced out sounds i use with the band. I am currently moving away from using a multi, but due to cash issues i've had to leave my expansion on hold for the moment (!), but nevertheless if you are after a simple, effective and comprehensive multi, look no further. In all honesty though, it sounds like a POD would be for you, especially considering how highly rated it is for it's amp modelling and together with other such features as the USB Editting Suite and the DI. It's totally up to you, but atleast try and give one a test run before you buy, 'cause you don't wanna waste your money!
 24.
Ummm, Hysteria by Muse...?
I was waiting for someone to say that one! And Time Is Running Out aswell, also previously mentioned, although it's really the programmed synth which gives the depth in my opinion, as the bass is played clean. In all honesty, Wolstenholmes playing features very heavily in most of Muse's material, so you don't need to look for to find a stellar bassline!
