1. No one? Boo - and there I was ripping my heart out to sell it and no one wants it!
2. Hi - what is the length/scale of this guitar in inches? Thanks
3. Selling my beautiful StingRay. Hopefully everything you need to know is in the pictures I've posted below, but this is in mint condition. Never been gigged with (a travesty i know!) and have recoded with it numerous times and can massively recommend it - the sound is lovely. Serial is PS D06883 which I've been reliably informed makes it July 1997. Needless to say I'd obviously rather sell to someone that can collect in person (or can be met halfway to somewhere!) to avoid couriering (I'm in RM12 6NU) but am happy to research a courier cost if you let me know where you are. I would also massively recommend adding insurance if we go the courier route (I only say this as I've had two very painful experiences with couriers and bass gear. Believe me it's worth it!) Any other questions please do get in touch. NOTE: This does NOT have a case/bag, Thanks for looking! Matt More pics here: http://tinyurl.com/oz2drmm
4. Hello Warwick fans! I have been forced down the short-scale route thanks to a wrist injury and have been playing with a Gretch (fine but.. meh) and an Ibanez Mikro (fine noise but feels like a toy) so was looking at the Warwick Corvette short-scale. I can't seem to find any in UK to play with, so wondering whether to just punt and ship from overseas... and obviously wondered if anyone here has any experience with the short-scale model and any thoughts to pass on? Also wondering if massive jump between passive and active. As always, any and all thoughts very welcomed! Cheers Matt
5. Hi What length is the neck? Looks lovely! M
6. Hiya. Thanks for replying to my post about sort scales... Do you know what the neck radius on this is?
7. Hey Bobpalt - do you know what the neck radius is on that? I can't seem to find it online as a spec. Cheers
8. if you can be arsed it'd be superb to see it in action. Perchance a cheeky iphone video and youtube posting?
9. Thanks to all for these ideas - i'm off to research!
10. Hi Due to a wrist injury I need to reduce the stress on my left hand so have juggled strap heights and experimented with different playing positions, and am now looking at short-scale basses. I've been playing an Ibanex Ergodyne 24 fret, thin necked bass for years, so really looking for recommendations from anyone with experience of short-scale guitars. I tried out a fender Jaguar but it had such a fat, deep neck radius it didn't feel too comfortable as I'm used to a thinner neck. Anyone with experience could maybe suggest some short-arse basses to consider? many thanks as always Matt
11. Just some postage info as I keep getting asked this: If you want to calculate postage the dimensions of the package would be 55cm x 33cm x 17cm and it weighs 14kg Cheers Matt
12. Thought this more detailed spec might be of interest: http://www.soundslive.co.uk/product~name~Ashdown-ABM-500-EVO-II~ID~3081.asp
13. Hi all. Thanks for such an interesting batch of replies to my thread. I did also post the serial on the ebmm link someone gave early on in the thread, but someone already gave me the answer here so I must admit I've not been back to ebmm since my initial request. I was kind of disappointed to hear someone say they thought it would only sell around £750 as it was £1299 when I got it and has hardly been used (I know - a travesty!) and lived 99% of its life in a gig bag so was hoping a piece of machinery like this would hardly depreciate. Had I not had the £750 message I will admit I (perhaps ambitiously) was gonna go in at £1,000. The only reason I've not listed it yet is that I wanted to do a little more research re the value now that I knew the year. If anyone in the know (and not just interested parties trying to mislead me!) have any input re value I'd be v grateful. As always thanks to everyone - still the best forum around!
14. Wow! Really? Blimey. Thanks!
15. Sorry Wayne - neck plate just said MUSICMAN, but hidden under strings on saddle bridge was the detail (thanks Luke/Hamster). Thanks folks - much appreciated. And yes, it's a sunburst so MUST be at lest worth £10. I'll see... Look for it in FOR SALE shortly Matt PS D06883 for those interested!
16. Hi - I'm looking to sell a MusicMan bass I bought years ago, but know when i post it people are going to ask me to give more information about the year of the model etc, and I can't find anything on the bass itself to help identify it. The only writing on the bass is "Ernie Ball MUSICMAN SingRay" and "Made in San Luis Obispo, California, USA" so is this enough to give interested parties the information they need or is there some way to work out what 'year' this was? My guess is it's about 8-years old (ish!) Any thoughts very much appreciated.
