Ha ha. I gigged You’re Wondering Now for the first time last weekend. Great song. Theme tune to Death in Paradise.
Nice! Great song.
They did a good version last night.

Had the pleasure of seeing this band live for the first time in Helsinki last night.
Still, monster players even if they had big shoes to fill. The rhythm section of Val on bass and Trevor "Sparrow" Thompson were something to behold if that kind of music rocks your boat.
The tenor sax guy Zem Audu blew the sweetest sax I think I ever heard.
A short vid Val (I had to)

Stick with the black, it's a classic.
I put a white pearl guard on my black and maple Ray but went back to the black after some time,

Interesting stuff and all good food for thought. I am trying to start saving up to upgrade my cheapo Behringer combo and thought I might go down the separate head and cab route. I thought maybe a Hartke LH500 and then I could use the DI out from that into the PA if I didn't want to have to lug a cab to a gig.
For the same sort of price as a head and cab I'm starting to think I'd be better off getting a DI box and Rumble 500 to do the same job.
Anyone got any recommendations?
The V3 Rumble 500's all have DI-outs, if that is the version you are meaning?
Personally (and normally I'm doing smallish gigs) but even with full-Pa support I like to hear my cab behind me and the 500 combo is a one hand lift and goes louder than I have ever needed.

In that case a Rumble V3 100 Combo would do it for you. Also good for rehearsal and gigs, should the need ever arise.
I agree, imo the new V3 cab voicing's contribute a lot to what makes these stand out from the previous versions.

Very nice! That is some collection!

I used them for a while, but found they didn't last that long compared to some other makes.

I like the sound I get from mine so much I have been thinking to flog-off the Aguilar TH500 I have been using with the other band and replace it with another Rumble 500 or possible the Stage 800! I think I have about 3 years on my Rumble 3 now.

The MIM Roadworns are pretty good, up there with the USA models imo.
Edit to say, if you don't mind a chunky neck

Yes, high-level GAS is when ignition occurs, your buttocks get singed and you leap up and get the credit card out!
I'm down to two, but trying to justify a Vintage 4V MN purchase. It's very affordable, it's the right colour combo (no refin needed), the hardware and electrics are of sufficiently good quality to make upgrades uneccesary, it plays very nicely, it sounds great, it looks the business and... you just can't have too many P basses!
Have I sold it to you yet?
Sounds like you have already sold it to yourself:) High-level Gas incoming.
Looks very tasty I have to say, Maple all day for me.
I have 2 p's one with flats the other strung with rounds, that keeps my p-bass itch scratched.

I've had low-level GAS for a Vintage P for some time now...
low-level GAS, I like that saying. I guess high-level is when the impulses take over?
I'm down to 6 now!

Maybe not the most technical But certainly adds to the song and no drop in dynamics
RIP Lemmy!

Nylon Flatwounds on a P Bass
in General Discussion

Only used them on a fretless P and they sat perfect.
Maybe it's the gauge that's causing the problem, not hard to move the saddles up a bit and add a bit more tension to the truss rod, go easy tho.
