1. Not honestly sure that mine is mahogany, but FWIW it weighs 3.2kg, a touch over 7lb. Get well soon
2.
You know that's an interesting point! I've swapped 'normal' strings on the bass and I can't for the life of me think that I've ever made note of differences in tone. I suppose in theory the sensor tracks the string movement and each type of string will have it's own inherent qualities so they will sound different but I would likewise think that old strings shouldn't sound different to new strings... if a buyer wants to play, I've a few sets of used but as new strings (inc flats), which you can experiment with.
Out of my league, but I'm curious (and free bump!) - do rounds sound different to flats? I can see that they might, because the optical sensor might be sensitive enough to tell the difference.
3. Time to complain to eBay then.
4.
If it's tuned in 4ths that ocean liner berthing wire has gotta be inaudible.
To humans, at least. Maybe it's made for playing whalesong, or elephant jive, or grizzly rap?
5. ... was that weird enough? I've never lusted after a six before. Looks interesting, I'd definitely go and have a look. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Jon-Letts-Custom-Built-Hand-Made-6-string-E-to-E-Short-Scale-32-Bass-/291727438824?hash=item43ec4f73e8:g:hIMAAOSwS7hW~-ve
6. Where do you get replacement strings, please?

8. Sinsonidos are nice and they sound good.
9. I've got one. I love it. Not as nice as HJ's, but still...
10. Email the maker?
11. 2 days left. Collection only. £99 start. Worth a look, if you're local, IMO. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ibanez-bass-guitar/281976243005?_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D35308%26meid%3D03464abfb7f045959efb17eeee5392a8%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D2%26rkt%3D6%26mehot%3Dpp%26sd%3D322048527769

Feedback for Aero71

Marinus bought a funny-coloured J-type body from me. All went well and I'd be pleased to deal with him again. Thanks
13. I sold Loz some strings. All went well and I'd be happy to trade with him again. Thanks
14. Nice. Also worth reading the comments
15.
Speaking of which, my new Elwood is apparently at Stanstead Airport, not that I've been checking you understand
European tour?
16.
Sunburst headstock but a red body, and pozi neck bolts? Hmmmmm!
To be fair, the seller says "This one came to me with a resprayed matt black body, but with pretty well all the original components fitted although not working. The body has been professionally refinished in red with white edging lines "
17. I don't know much about Fenders, but I see signs it's a bitsa.
18. Late bump, I forgot on Sunday.
19. That seller does tend to overprice, but the bass itself is pretty
