1. I shall have to check that out. Thanks
2.
By 4'33" isn't silent. The musicians don't play but there are always plenty of noises going on during the performance.
True. But I doubt a silent band would be any different.
3. Those will go pretty quickly, I reckon.
4. Mike bought my SR500. I dropped it off at his, we had a nice chat and I had the chance to try out some of his basses, thanks Mike A fine use of a Saturday afternoon. What, the sale? Oh that went fine. I'd be very happy to deal with him again. Get well soon Mike!
5. Why can I hear marching sounds? (Nice set )
6. Mint. Or you could put one of those fancy wooden ones on. That's perverse enough to be worth a try, I reckon.
7. Since nobody else has mentioned John Cage...
8.
Yes but it is USA made don't forget...
So, would converting it to British time reduce its value?
9. Generally they are hard to sell at cost - sellers usually make a loss. It seems to be more profitable to part them out. Bitsas are often quite specific to the maker, so their attraction to other people can be dubious.
10.
That's... expensive.
And ugly.
11. Only useful if you play in a four-piece
12. Alex bought some CDs from me. All went well, and I'd happliy deal with him again. Thanks Alex
13.
Ibanez Mikro. Great little bass. About 28" scale I think. Cheap to buy. But plays nicely.
I'd forgotten this... I've definitely got too many basses Issues I had with mine: A buzz on one pup, and a flabby E-string. Currently considering restringing it up a fourth, ADGC.
14. Put an external preamp on it?
15.
Yes! and as I posted in that thread I'm going to sue you. We could settle out of court of course. Couple of Jelly Babies suit you? (other children's sweets are available before I am accused of something)
Pinching other children's sweets? Should be ashamed of yourself...
16. Tour programmes - Yes and Steve Hillage. Yes: Tourmato. Somewhat worn on the cover and spine; damage to the back cover where it appears that something heavy has scarred it; small adhesions between two pairs of top corners. £5 plus postage. Pics here: http://s1295.photobu...o?sort=3&page=1 Steve Hillage, Euro Tour, 1980 (I think). Good condition barring some creases; it seems to have been folded lengthways, but not harshly (I'd guess it got stuck in my pocket). £9 plus postage. Pics here: http://s1295.photobu...e?sort=3&page=1
17. I think these have two pairs of neck screws, two short and two long
18. My Cirrus BXP has a pot there, same as MoJo's. The early Cirrus BXPs had a problem with the electrics - they went through batteries at a terrible rate (mine did, till I trashed the battery connector and replaced it...). Wondering if this is a mod to sort that out.
