The Clone theory Pedal is not silent, i have 4 of the original pedals and a reissue Clone theory. The bet thing you could do is to run them through your effects loop if you have one. That's what i do with mine, just the effect and no hiss.
thats strange, i tried one out in a shop and my friends clone theory and i couldnt hear any hiss at all.

well the small clone is a little noisy for some people, if you like the sound but dont like the noise go for the EHX clone theory, aparantly its silent.
5.
Dawsons usually have a couple of them - call them up to make sure.
ok, thanks very much.
6. i am looking to buy one from a shop and was wondering if anybody has seen one in any of the shops in manchester? would save me looking round for ages. Thanks.
7. well its usually caused by the application of milk to rice krispies, it will then 'snap, carckle and pop' for a short while. try using a spoon and things should clear up in about 5-10 mins. sorry, someone had to say it.
8. i was just wondering if there were any differences soundwise and performance wise between soapdbar j pickups and regular j pickups. i am thinking of getting a yamaha BB414 so i was also wondering if i would be able to swap the pickups in these for regular p/j pickups if i found them not to my liking. Thanks. Bass_Junkie.
9. well i think i'm gonna go for the yamaha BB414 black pearl, seems like the best option so far. Thanks very much for all the replies i've had. Bass_junkie.
10. what about a peavey millenium BXP? passive version?
11. what do people think to this bass? i have a westfield jazz bass and tried a squire p/j and rejected it cause it wasnt as much of a step up as i wanted. how is the neck compaired to a jazz bass? is it easy to play? how does it compare to a squire p/j or a westfield jazz? this would be my second bass and i would be looking to use it for band practises and small gigs untill i can get myself a really high-end bass. should i go for it? what are the pros/cons of this bass? Thanks. Bass_Junkie.
12.
I'm already saving to buy them all!! I am addicted to EHX!!!
thats mean, give them to me.
13. only time i'd get a custom bass is probably if fender would make me a custom p-bass special, al black, incl headstock and neck, p/j pups and a jazz neck. then i'd convinse rotosound to bring back those black rotosound spacers. EDIT: and yes, i am a MASSIVE duff mckagan fan.
14.
I find that lowering the action produces the Mwaah but too much and it 'chokes' the string. Even with the above I've found that every fretless I've owned has more Mwaah on the lighter gauge strings and that the B on a 5 is pretty much Mwaahless
well i once heard that lowering/raising your action is the key for getting more/less mwah, so mabey yours is too low?
15. Duff mckagan's black fender precision special fender need to hurry up at make an artist series of them!!!
16. name your bass after yourself, then blame your bass everytime theres a lawsuit.
17. I play bass funnily enough...
18.
If I recall correctly, I think its Kiwi's Celinder, but I'm sure somebody more knowledgeable will be along shortly to confirm or deny this!
from a quick search i think your right.

20.
Don't Squier do an all-black J bass at the mo?
the bass i'd be replacing would be a squier precision special, they do an all black precision special with chrome scratchplate, but i've gone off my squier
21. aparantly those basses are quite bad sounding, though i love the look of them!
22. i love all black bases, specially the headstock being painted, dont like basses with a really long horn cause i like to sling my bass low. probably using it for rock stuff over anything else. about £200-250 pounds any idea?
