  8. I finally decided to part with this “rockin’ machine”- I’m in love with Precision bases and am letting everything else go. This one is Japanese made, not sure of the brand but definitely the best of this kind I’ve had- and I had 4 of them. It is in extremely good condition for an instrument over 30 years old. The lacquer is still 9/10- only a couple of minor scuffs, and the paintjob is beautiful (sorry for the sh*tty pictures but I am not a photographer and the sun is out these days). The pickups have enormous output, everything is working including the stereo jack, the pots are ok. The chrome parts are in pristine condition as can be seen, even the chrome pickup cover is there. As I have seen on some other Japanese basses like this one the bridge is slightly leveled at the back side, so there is a metal part added underneath it (in the hollow part) which holds the strings down- probably added by the previous owner. The truss rod is working. When I got it the bass went straight to my luthier for fret leveling and set up. Also there was a slight delamination of the lower wing on the back side of the body which can be seen in the pictures but the luthier fixed that also and now it is as solid as it can be. Still has the original foam muter which works perfectly. The neck is straight and the action is nice. The wood grain of the wings of the body is awesome. As can be seen the binding of the body is checkered. The bass sounds solid and with tons of sustain and roar as it should be. I have a truss rod cover with some stupid inscription which isn’t the original but will be included. Also the bass will ship in the case pictured- brown leather on the outside in very good condition, strange interior but still very protective. The price is firm – SOLD + shipping expenses- I can ship from Germany or from Bulgaria- it depends on where I am at the moment. You can contact me here or at cecopb(at)yahoo.com
  9. The bass is fully restored(by my luthier) 70s italian made Gherson Professional(I belive- it may also be a japanese made). For sure it is a copy, not the real thing, but a well made one. Has all the features- 2 truss rods, bright rosewood fingerboard, bindings, string muters, pearl dot fret markers, all the electronics work fine, 3 piece neck-through construction, mono and stereo outputs, etc. The condition is nice for a 40 year old instrument- light scuffs and dings but nothing major. The frets are low but perfectly leveled. The truss rods were replaced since the old ones were dead, the electronics are checked and fixed, the action is nice. The bass is unbelievably resonant and nails the vintage rock tone. It can be seen in Germany, Bulgaria and Greece- it depends on where I am at the moment, or I can send it(on your expenses). Comes with new Rotosound strings and a new gig bag. The price is 700 EUR but is a bit negotiable. You can contact me either here or on my email- [email protected] for more detailed information and photos.
