1. I'm currently using a GK MB200 head, which I really like in terms of tone & punch. It's running through an ABM115 Mini (so about 140w at 8ohms). I was looking at replacing the cab, possibly with a 4ohm to squeeze the most juice out of the head and one that caught my eye initially was the matching MBE115 (4ohm, 200w version). Looking into it a bit further, the reported sensitivity is only 91dB, so, if I've got this right, it's likely to be a fair bit quieter than the Ashdown. I'm on a budget (elsewise it would be a Barefaced), and both portability (car space) and weight (dodgy back) are important to me. Any comments or ideas please?
2. Just received my Ashdown amp & cab from Jose. Great guy to deal with - honest with good communication. Item arrived on agreed date and was well packaged. Thanks again Jose!
3. Hi Tom, have a bump on me! Bought my current bass from Tom a few months ago - great guy to deal with!
4. Thanks Tom. Tom is likewise a great person to deal with and I couldn't be happier about the transaction or indeed the bass itself. The T74 far exceeded my expectations and my bandmates were equally impressed!
5.
Mike, I bought this Wal even though is not in my hands yet. Happy so this is a bass I have been looking for years, but I'm completely broke till 2012.
Sorry, forgot to post this item as sold.
6. Highly regrettable forced sale of my Wal Custom Mark 1, superbly hand-crafted in Electric Wood’s High Wycombe workshop. This four-string custom has a mahogany body core with Curly Bird’s-Eye Maple facings – VERY RARE NON-STANDARD FINISH! Quite honestly, I would rather sell a kidney (blood type O if interested) This bass is my pride and joy and has been well looked after. I bought the bass new from the Bass Centre, so I can guarantee that everything is 100% original. I consider the condition to be far better than the norm for a 20 year old guitar, the only real blemish being a minor mark on the back near the horn as seen in the last photo. Description: Wal Custom Bass Mark 1, S/N W3354 Created 1990 and signed off by Pete ‘The Fish’ himself! Very rare Curly Bird’s-Eye Maple facings. I am including the original Wal moulded case. (One of these EBayed a while ago for £200 on its own!). I won't go into all the geeky stuff , but please feel free to ask any questions. This bass really does play great, sound great and record great (as you would expect from a Wal), but with the plus of having the non-standard finish, so it stands out too! I'm looking for £2750. Delivery cost dependent on destination. There is a possibility I could take a credit card through a friend's account and I'll check this out further if interested. I would accept a trade, but it would have to be something relatively inexpensive. I am situated in Essex, UK and willing to deliver, have the instrument picked up, or to arrange a courier if required.
7. My 1990 special finish curly Birdseye maple wal custom is up on eBay until Sunday 23 may Item number: 190398633414 It's a much lamented sale for me, but it deserves a good home!
