It's a tough one because you can get all sorts of different tones out of various octave pedals. I run 3 on my board, two of which at the Micro Pog and the Bass Whammy. I tend to use the Pog a lot, but I make use of the blend on it so it sounds a bit more organic. The Whammy is my go to for much more full on octave tones. If you're not after the intervals I don't imagine you're going to get much use from the Whammy though.

Does anyone know where I can get such a thing?

I've only gone and ordered one. If anyone's interested I'll let you know how I get on with it.

Does anyone know how this stacks up against other micro loopers out there? I've been tempted to buy a TC Electronic Ditto for while but I'd be interested to know how this compares.

I use a Grey Stache and run it with a bunch of different octave pedals - a POG, Bass Whammy and MXR Bass Octave Deluxe. Sounds good to me!

Last night my GK 800RB amp blew a fuse, I've not had to replace a fuse in this amp before and I'm a bit unsure as to which fuse I should be replacing it with. The fuse I took out of the amp says 5A 250V 313 on it. My band has just released an EP and I had a lot of fun writing and recording my bass bits for this. We recorded and produced the whole thing ourselves so I felt I had a bit more room to try out some stuff I hadn't done before, so there's a load of double tracked bass, some triple tracked in places. I just received mine today and I've just spent about an hour mucking about with it and comparing it to the Whammy 4 (which I use loads). On a first impression the settings that I'm having most fun with are 5th ^ / Oct ^, the 5th ^ on it's own and the Oct ^ / 2 Oct ^, all of which are settings that aren't on the Whammy 4. The tonal difference between the Whammy 4 and Bass Whammy is huge, I was getting annoyed with how much a tone sucker the Whammy 4 was. Overall I'd say the Bass Whammy sounds a lot smoother. I'm not taken aback by the Chord setting, that's doing funky stuff to my tone, it sounds very digital as someone else mentioned before. At my next rehearsal I'm gonna give it a go, and also keep the Whammy 4 on my board to compare.

Who should I pre-order my bass whammy from? I can't remember the last time I bought a new piece of gear from a shop, I have no idea which shops provide the best service anymore!

Just play around with the setup, this is the joy of using a bunch of pedals - you can really craft your own sound.

Has anyone heard anything new about the release date on the bass whammy? Can't wait to get my hands on one of these, the Whammy IV has become my most used pedal over the past year so this is perfect timing [size=4] [/size]
