SOLD

Hey John, thanks for the offer but I'm a bit conservative in my tastes, that's a bit too interesting for me if you know what I mean! I'm looking for something Precision-ish looking, maybe something Ibanez? It's so difficult to bemspecific when you dont know what's out there!

hello, I've never played a 5 before, so it would be a bit of a risk. Could you post a couple of pics?

Just seen the VMJ '77 which I must own, which means this has to go! Some more pictures: http://www.flickr.com/photos/53759590@N04/...157625004704796 a price drop - £155 delivered to the UK, as I noticed a small nick out of the paint on one of the horns as shown in the picamatures.
6. Hello, I'm after a Line6 Pod XT Live and have a Sansamp BDDI to offer in exchange + a bit of cash. Anyone got one they want to swap? I'd sell outright for £100 delivered, it's in excellent condition with the box and instructions. Cheers, Ben.
7. I agree, the Sansamp BDDI does scoop the mids a little, but I compensate with the amp's EQ, or push the treble+presence to about 2 o'clockish, the blend to about 3 o'clockish and the drive at 5 o'clock for a fairly heavily over driven sound without losing too much bottom end. It's the best tubey/overdrive I've heard without carrying about a 35kg SVT-CL.
8. belated bump for a price drop to £170+£10 p&p or trade for a Zoom H4 or similar if anyone's looking to move towards multitracking...
9. Just a quick question. Would this work/be sensible: 3 x Vocal Mics + Bass Pod + 1 x mic for stage sound (drums not mic'd and guitar amps have no DI outs) no FOH output into mixer AUX out into heaphone amp for in ear monitoring Main outs into PA We're only a small band, playing small gigs, but I'm keen to keep the amount of gear we have to hire/lug around to gigs to a minimum and taking a couple of monitors and a bass amp out of the equation seem like a good place to start? Anyone else do anything similar or am I being ridiculous?
10. Just done our first covers gig for a mates 30th in a nice little coffee shop in the centre of Liverpool and I'm absolutely exhausted! Loaded in Friday night at 7, set up and soundchecked today at 5.30 and did two half our sets: Audioslave - Cochise Stereophonics - Vegas Two Times Sabbath - Paranoid Supergrass - Richard III Zepp - Immigrant Song Stones - Gimmie Shelter AC/DC - Highway to Hell Wolfmother - Woman Bad Company - Feel like Making Love Hendrix - Hey Joe / Voodoo Chile Kings of Leon - Molly's Chambers Foos - The Pretender ZZ Top - La Grange Deep Purple - Black Night AC/DC - Back in Black Queen - Tie your Mother Down Went really well, probably couldnt have played it better and we're all mightily relieved! It's hard to guage how good you're recieved when you play to your mates are they're more likely to be positive than negative, but I know we've got work to do and there were some honest and frank comments about certain songs! I've got to start learning to sing more songs while playing, no mean feat. Also gave us an idea of what the average person will respond to, so we'll start to pick songs which should in theory go down well (but still within our parameters - ie. if we get that "Summer of '69" vibe about a song, we dont play it!) Anyway, I'm going to try and sleep, but with all this adrenalin buzzing about me and that post-gig ringing in my ears, I'll probably struggle...
11. Me, looking miserable about something..? You might think it would be the Laney RB9 sat on top of my old Genz, but I could end the world with that combination!
12. Bump, just the one sold so far...
13.
Finbar is selling a QSC PLX1804 on here which would put 900w a side into 4 ohms. Good price I reckon.
bit out of my price range thanks for the heads up though.
14.
good call - I've used my 4ohm LowB2 with a 500 watt Mark Bass head. If you've got two of them you'd probably need a 1000w power amp to get the best out of them.
Yeah, that seems to be the consensus, apparently Alexclaber and Bigjohn, their previous owners, were sticking 1k @ 4-ohms into each! So I can see where I'm going wrong at 300w each...Time to buy a ridiculous power amp....
15. Bump. Suprised there's no interest in these as they're massively well regarded. I've been given some advice that I might not be putting enough juice into them which is why I'm not feeling the oompfh, so I'm going to buy a decent power amp and give them another go, so they may well be withdrawn...
16. Hi Wayne, If you decide to sell, I'll happily take it off you for the price you paid. Cheers, Ben.
17. Hello, Did a stupid thing and got rid of a cab that did exactly what I needed it to and bought these because of some ancient GAS. While these are excellent cabs, suprising light (I can carry both at the same time - one on each arm) and really deep and warm compared to any other 10" cabs I've used, they just dont have the grunt of the 900W Genz Benz 6x10 I sold to buy them (I seem to play in two extremely loud bands!) and while adding another 4x10 or 1x15 would easily solve that, I dont have the cash to buy another cab without selling first. So, I've used them in 4 practices which means there in the condition I bought them in - which is excellent considering they're 10 years old! This might be due to the fact that they've been in covers for most of their lives and have been owned by good people! Spec from the website: Model: Acme Low B-2 Series II Frequency response: +/-3 dB 41Hz to 22 kHz -6 dB at 31 Hz Power Handling: 350 Watts RMS continuous 300 Watts sine wave @ 30.87 Hz Sensitivity: 93 dB 1W/1M Impedance: 4 Dimensions: 23"H x 15.75"W x 16.5"D Weight: 50 lbs / 23.2 kg Cost me £400 + £25 to get to Nottingham and back, so looking for £400 collected or Trade/PX for something with 6 or more 10" speakers in it! Thanks for looking!
18. Rich bought my Genz Benz cab from me, lovely guy, easy transaction. I want the cab back :*(
19. Bought a pair of Acme B2s from John. Lovely fella, cabs as described, highly recommended!
20. Bump for a price drop, £380.
21.
How much? £400 new?
£400 used. They're £979 on Bass Direct.
