Single coloured strings?

Recommended Posts

Hi all

Does andyone know where you can get single coloured bass strings in the UK?

I know that DR do singles in the states but I'm really struggling to find anyone that does them over here, all that we seem to have access to is 4 or 5 packs (which tend to be quite pricy).

I no-one knows of anywhere then would you be interested in buying singles if they were available? I've pinged DR an email to say they should find a distributor for them over here. If plenty of people reply to this then we might be able to get a distributor to look into stocking them. Just a thought.

Cheers

Pete

Huge selection of DR strings with more than enough customer support to boot...hell they know who I am from voice!
Been using em for 5 years now...

Good question as I've often required the same.
Been tempted to buy the DR 4-string set and not change the B string on every 2nd string change. Surely the B doesn't need the same fresh/zing to it and I could save a bit cash each time. And has anyone had a B string snap on them?

Nope, I've never outright snapped one, played it till it sounds dull as sh*te but never snapped.

I play in a metal band though so I'm predominantly B and E string based so I always need to replace them earlier than the others. It's so expensive having to replace A, D and G as well each time I re-string.

Might but a whole set and sell the top three on ebay? Someone might want them.

What's madder than a 6 string fretless Yamaha 'ironing board neck' bass? one with different coloured strings

I don't remember if this is where I got them but this guy has singles
