It appears in the December issue, which has Jimmy Page on the cover. I received my issue today as I'm a subscriber and it's there on page 14 It comes 10 years and 6 months after my submission for "My bass is.." was printed in Bassist magazine..... 7string Posted November 18, 2007 Author Share Posted November 18, 2007 I had a Fender Urge Mk1. Unfortunately, I had to sell it, but managed to buy another earlier this year... April '96 was the issue, with Freddie Mercury on the cover. I bought a copy on eBay a couple of months ago, just for old times sake !! I look a little older, a little heavier but still as devastatingly handsome I'm just glad I managed to get another Urge Mk1, they really are superb basses. It's cool to get something in print especially in Guitarist (or Bassist) as they must get so many submissions for those features. I've got some cool pics of the basses being sent up to me this week. I'm definately going to put them up in Bass Porn as there have been a few changes since I put them on Bassworld (and as I didn't take them the photos are a lot better !!). My favourite was the guy with the old 2 band pre EB 'ray who listed some tunes that were 'smothered with a 'ray' and then a guy with a Modulus Q5 sent in his my bass is feature and said he'd played on the session for one of those theme tunes 'smothered with a ray' but he'd used his Modulus. 7string Posted November 20, 2007 Author Share Posted November 20, 2007 Yeah, I know what you mean It's always great to hear an owner's review of a bass instead of hearing a review from someone who only has the instrument for a couple of days. Also you get to read about instruments which are are or unusual. I have to say though that my Sei doesn't live in a case to only come out on highdays and holidays. Jezebel (as my fiancee has named the Sei) lives in the rack with my other instruments. No point buying a bass if you're not going to use it !!
