Hughes & Kettner Bassbase 250

This is the head section out of one of my gigging rigs from a few years ago. It developed a fault a couple of years ago and rather than repair it I moved on to other lighter equipment (the 2x10 combo that it came from weighed nearly 90lb). I retained the amp section and I've now had it fully repaired. As I say it is the amp section from a combo that I have attached to a rack plate and mounted into this case, which obviously comes supplied. The case is nothing spectacular but it keeps the internals out of sight (the zips aren't great on it as the tags have come off but they work). That's all of the bad stuff... the good bit is that it is a cracking 250 watt valve pre-amped amp. It has obviously just been overhauled and given a clean bill of health. There's no point in me keeping this as a backup or for old times sake. It'll make someone a good first amp, far superior to much of the 250 watt stuff kicking about at the minute. The combo that this came from cost £950 when new about 16 years ago... that was a fair old wedge of cash. You'll find reviews of this amp and the combo (inc' my review, how sad) here - http://reviews.harmony-central.com/reviews...ssbase+250/10/1
