Fender 1975 Jazz Bass Reissue (Rosewood) MIA

Selling this bass as I'm looking to buy a wood and tronics bass and I need to sell it to help pay for the new bass.

It really has a tremendous tone and it is extremely comfortable to play. I often have comments on how beautiful the bass is too. I've owned it for less than a year so it is in great nick besides a couple of small dings and some small finish cracks on the backside of the bass which isn't very noticeable. My only gripe with it is that like with all standard fender jazz basses it is limited to 20 frets. I personally like to have 24 frets for that high G.

Here are some pictures of the bass in action:

I can get more upon request.

The best sample of the sound I have is from this video: http://youtube.com/watch?v=gsG5wiWit7g
The video was recorded using my looping station, therefore the tone you are hearing is a pure representation of the bass itself. I can get some sound clips for you upon request with solo'd pickups or whatever you want me to do with tone controls.

The price of one of these basses new is £1200 on GAK though you then have the problem of not being able to play the bass before you buy it which is something I recommend very strongly particularly with Fender. If you want to try it out I can arrange for you to travel to meet me or alternatively I can bring it along to one of the Bassdirect.co.uk open days. Contact Mark (poptart) to find out when the open days are.

The price I am asking for this bass is £875.

This bass has also been setup by a professional so it is playing very well and it has a fresh set of Elixir strings on it.

It also comes with the deluxe fender hard case, the bridge plate, pickup plate (already attached), thumb rest, fender strap, fender cable, the cleaning kit, fast fret and all the original documents.

If you want more info contact me with a PM.

My mate plays one of these, albeit the maple board version, and it sounds great!
Although i'm not sure what the difference is between that and my standard 'merican, apart from the blocks and binding of course.

Si

Oh, sorry - completely missed your reply.

Believe me, it´s so much out of my price range that any offer from my part would be an insult to you and this lovely bass. :)

So have a bump on me and good luck with the sale!
