NOW SOLD.....

Hi everyone, I've decided to put this back for sale. It's been up for a short time before but I loved the bass so much I withdrew it from sale. However, needs must so I've decided to put it up for sale at a firm £950 collected from Manchester. I'm not intrested in any trades. I am really keen that the buyer sees/plays the bass first. It's worth the journey :-)

Here's the last advert:

Hi guys,
im selling my fretless fbass 5 string. it used to belong to Julian Campton, for more info see a thread i started a few years back on the bass

HOWEVER this bass has a past!

Heres the story, i changed my mind about the original trade and decided to update the bass with new single coil pickups and the f bass preamp. It was all fitted and the bass was AMAZING! the pickups were sent over to fbass where they matched the colour and sent new replacments, the preamp is the best ive ever used on an active bass. Boutique bass with extra mojo!

..........

Then it suffered a neck break....I got it repaired at the bass gallery and they did an amazing job and replaced the fingerboard with an freless lined ebony board. this and the epoxy resin used to fix the bass means the neck is completley stable. The repair is so good you would not notice usless prompted and you can not feel the break on the back of the neck. It really is an amazing repair. It has been done to the higheset possible standard. Im a professional bassist and am very picky about instruments, this is truly a great bass.

Obviously ive spent a fortune on this bass but realise its value is diminished by the neck break. However it really is an unique amazing bass. It sounds great and plays as good (if not better) than it did before the break.

Im asking a firm £950.00 feel free to ask any questions and please come and play it, im in manchester :-)

No trades
Im also traveling round the UK on the hunt for a good double bass so may be able to bring it with me.
cheers Geoff

How good a "good" double bass are you looking for? I have one for sale currently in the for sale section.

what about the electronics it was passive and now is active like a BN5 (i mean the first knob is adjusting single coils to humbacking so there is not such an option?) It has 21 fret ? and something else i see a change to the color of the heastock. I think is a great value and if you get it you can put the frets back to the ebony !!
