Bilbo
Sorry can't read your links as they are blocked but L.A's Ozomatli are a great Latino funk band. Also look up Sargeant Garcia, Joao Bosco (some of his stuff will appeal), Caetano Veloso (A Luz A Tieta).....

carlitos71
Check out my friends from Venezuela: Bacalao Men and Los amigos invisibles Also if you interested in old school latin funk, there is many bands like Ray Barreto and also Mongo Santamaria. I have a vast collection of this kind of music, if you like these last two let me know and can send you many more... Cheers Carlos Edited February 12, 2010 by carlitos71

stonecoldbass
You should DEFO check out Santa Fe and the Fat City Horns. They're primarily a club band in vegas and aren't strictly a 'latin' band but there's definitely a latin tinge to everything they play. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r5MtoVX4SLA enjoy! c

lanark
In the 70s the latin music GOD that is Eddie Palmieri formed a band, Harlem River Drive, that was extremely funky. But this is my favourite of his 70s funk tracks: Lakumi Makumba Voodoo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fI8rLt-PW0o
