Hello folks,

I'm selling my Aerodyne Jazz Bass, as i'm not really a bass player and don't need anything that flashy.

It's the original style Aerodyne, with the rear-mounted controls (ie, no pickguard), and is black with off-white binding, rosewood fretboard with no inlays, black painted headstock, and a Jazz and P-bass pickup for ultimate versatility.

Even better, i've upgraded it: it has professionally installed Baddass III bridge, Fender American Deluxe Hipshot lightweight tuners and Graphtech graphite nut. I've replaced the stock vol/tone knobs with normal J-bass style knobs. Also includes a gig bag and Schaller straplocks.

Has been gigged so displays some wear and tear; nothing major. Tone pot has been replaced, but is not the long shaft variety, so is a bit wobbly. Works fine though.

Guess i'm looking for around £500 for it. Any interest out there?

Based in South West London.

I've played a stock one of these. What improvements would you say the new bridge, tuners etc. have made?[/quote]

Thanks for the question Phagor.

Well, firstly this model guitar is prone to be very slightly neck-heavy, due to the slimline body... so the lightweight tuners solve this issue.

Also, the better quality tuners plus the graphite nut increase tuning stability.

The Badass bridge adds some of the mass that slimmer body is missing (compared to a normal Jazz bass), so fills out the tone, and adds sustain.

Aesthetically, i personally didn't the 'smoked chrome' finish of the original hardware, so replacing the tuners, bridge and knobs gets rid of all that (and looks classier for it, in my opinion...)

Thanks.

Good amp choice, by the way. I use the Genz Benz Shuttle 6.0 as well... loud and lightweight - a great combo in my book.
