P pickup issue

I recently bought a new P bass pickup for my 51 bass, however, the pickup cable won't fit through the existing hole going to the control cavity. As the hole is at an awkward ankle, any idea how you increase the size to allow the cable to fit though?

If you can get a roundwound string through the hole, you could use that to enlarge the hole.

What about a razor wire saw?

Pass a wire or string back tother way - tape or solder together and pull thru.
