Brian18242 Posted 18 hours ago Author Posted 18 hours ago Not sure where actually sells these basses. Hopefully available in the UK. They also do a stingray 5 option. 1 Quote
neil___lien Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago Oh! They have really cool Mustangs and headless basses too! Whoa! They look great! 1 Quote
Brian18242 Posted 15 hours ago Author Posted 15 hours ago Yep, shame I can't find a UK stockist. The stingray 5 looks gorgeous! 1 Quote
Gizmo Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago I agree the 5 in Metallic Blue looks great, spacing looks a little tiger tight (like less than 16mm!) but seems like the board has space to take it out a little with a new bridge/saddles/nut Fairdeal seem to be the only UK stockist for this brand atm (i read GG didn't renew the deal that had as distro) they have some of their headless 4's in (but no 5's) might be worth pinging FD to see if they'll be carrying these ray copies at some point in 2026 ? 1 Quote
Brian18242 Posted 13 hours ago Author Posted 13 hours ago @Gizmo I just mailed fair deal to enquire. For the price, the construction looks rather good and the finish options look good. 2 Quote
Mokl Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Genuine Q. What did I miss here? Are these very good value? Why would these appeal beyond one of the Sterling/ Sub/Ray34 or whatever they're called these days? 1 Quote
tauzero Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago (edited) I'm interested in the 5-string headless - available from Nafiri Guitars and assorted other Asian outlets for £260 plus shipping which comes out at around £470. The 5-string Stingray copies are £214 so a tad under £400 with shipping (and I'm not sure if that includes VAT and duty). I've emailed Fair Deal to ask if they'll be getting any in. When GG had the deal with Sqoe, they didn't get any in. Can't remember if I asked them back then. Edit to add: Fairdeal do have the 5-string Jazz copy in, if not the Stingrays. Brian18242 Posted 2 hours ago Author Posted 2 hours ago Fair Deal confirmed they will not be stocking anymore of these basses. Ordering direct from Nafiri will sadly result in an additional 20% VAT charge. 1 Quote
Bassassin Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago This isn't the first thread we've had about Sqoeeeee basses - those Strandberg-esque headlesses provoked a bit of interest a couple of years back, if I recall. Did anyone take the plunge? 1 Quote
Gizmo Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago (edited) to the question @Mokl asked, for me it would be better body/neck woods (basswood vs mahogany / plain rock maple vs flame roasted & rounded (Hemispherical) fret ends + ice pickguard....for less money (if you can find someone who will do land/sea shipping....) i'll see if its possible to get one sent to zenmarkets redistro service as land/sea from japan>UK is about £40 atm..... Edit: pinged Zenmarket...but they are on new years holiday for 5 days & pinged Nafiri via reverb to ask about UPS surface shipping, no way am i paying DHL £200 for air...total rip off Edited 1 hour ago by Gizmo Quote
