Worst thing about nut work is the smell of bone dust... especially as a vegetarian!

Seconded, as a non-vegetarian. Ground up bone filings smell absolutely vile.

There's plenty.

That Ali-Ex store I mentioned earlier, B2 mould Accessories, no prizes what sector they cater to 😀

Google 1.1mm fine cut file, you'll get similar outfits in the UK; I got 3 hits couple of hours ago. Watchmaker's files, jeweller's saw are another option.

Knife edge carbide needle files yet another.

Decide on what sizes you need, 1.1mm/1.2mm/1.7mm etc then do a search.

Thanks. I have reached the stage in life when I have realised it is better to actualy get the facts rather than guess. I now have the facts.

@Owen

I think this wee example may illustrate the difference between those who target "niche/hobby" and trade.

There's this 51 slab body and you just know it's screaming out for binding 😁

Rabbeting bit is needed but those sold by B&Q/Screwfix/Toolstation etc cut too deep 😕 Luckily Stew-Mac can save the day, they sell a kit $102 or a cutter for your Dremmel for $140 or the LMI $69.99 + $5.99 for the bearing. They're a one stop shop as well as a respected name 👍

Here in the UK we have Wealden Tools, they only sell cutters, drill bits and blades for machine/wood shops.

Their rabbeting cutter is £18.99 + £3 for the bearing 🙂

Take a look at Tracey Tools. More woodworking focused.

Proops, if still going, sometimes have good stuff. I think I got some Vallorbe files from them (the best :) )
