essexbasscat Posted November 6, 2025 Posted November 6, 2025 Hi there I'm searching for a good arpeggio book, does anyone have any recommendations ? I fank U Quote
paul_5 Posted November 6, 2025 Posted November 6, 2025 JS Bach for Bass by Joaquin des Pres is a good one if you want to do more than just running up and down arpeggios, as is Jonas Hellborg’s ‘Chord Bassics’ which is literally pages of chord diagrams - but equally useful to a bassist who wants to improve their playing and theory. 1 Quote
essexbasscat Posted November 6, 2025 Author Posted November 6, 2025 Thanks Paul, I remember seeing the JS Bach book before, I'll order a copy of that one, also the Jonas book as well, it costs peanuts so well worth a punt Quote
Burns-bass Posted November 6, 2025 Posted November 6, 2025 There’s a lot of good material out there. Gary Willis’s Fingerboard Harmony is a good one, showing you how to practically apply a lot of this theory. Quote
essexbasscat Posted November 7, 2025 Author Posted November 7, 2025 Thanks for the recommendation Lawrie, using the theory is what it's all about ! Quote
