lowlandtrees Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago I changed strings…isn’t the grass always greener? I was so careful…tightened them over a week …but the D snapped. I have no idea what they are. It’s a 4x4 instrument. Can’t decide whether to replace all of them (with another older set) or buy a new D. It seems such a hassle…I have psych myself up to it. The stoppers at the end of the strings are stamped with the note. Anyone recognize the make? Quote
TorturedSaints Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Maybe Thomastik Mittel? https://gollihurmusic.com/string-identification-chart/?srsltid=AfmBOopRtE2v9_XNVvvqIRkJFcNdT1s9s-ahwVcRhF1Fp5Dq9Qej5Q7P 1 Quote

NickD Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago (edited) That red at either end, they look like Spirocore Mittel to me. That's what mine is wearing here. Edited 4 hours ago by NickD Quote

NickD Posted 31 minutes ago Posted 31 minutes ago Yeah. I can't get at all of them but the B string does have a B on It. Oddly enough I'd never noticed that until you mentioned it here. Quote
