Phaedrus01 Posted Wednesday at 14:59 Posted Wednesday at 14:59 I apologise for my ignorance as I'm used to doing much more simple passive wiring jobs. I'm trying to wire a 3 way switch that looks like this The wiring diagram that I'm following is this one BUUUUT the colours for the wires on the diagram aren't the same as the pickup. Those are listed on the box and look like this Can anybody please help with what colour should go where? I know it should be a simple soloution, the pickup is an 8 coil pickup but can be split into using one of the pairs (turning it into a p style humbucker) the other pair (turning it into a reverse P humbucker) and all active for full 8 coil mode. ezbass Posted Wednesday at 15:47 Posted Wednesday at 15:47 (edited) I might be being daft here (or blind) but aren’t the yellow, green (pair one), brown & white (pair two) as shown in the diagram? The black wire in the diagram is your (surround) earth. Edit: hang on, I see what you’re saying now, the actual colours of the pickup don’t match the box description and diagram 🤦🏻 (sorry, I’ve been slow here). If that’s the case, you probably need to contact the supplier/manufacturer. Edited Wednesday at 15:50 by ezbass Quote
Delberthot Posted Wednesday at 16:19 Posted Wednesday at 16:19 (edited) Im trying to figure out what's wrong between the diagram and the list of wires on the box as they match. 🤔 On the diagram I can see brown going to one side of the switch and yellow to the other. Then there's a red wire going to the volume pot. White, green and black go to the bottom of the switch and then onto the back of the volume pot. Edited Wednesday at 16:23 by Delberthot 1 Quote
Phaedrus01 Posted Wednesday at 16:32 Author Posted Wednesday at 16:32 Thanks for the responses, so if I'm following then it's white and green to the bottom and brown and yellow to the left and right lugs respectively. Just like the diagram. Then wire the surround (earth) to where the black wire is in the diagram? Quote

Phaedrus01 Posted 2 hours ago Author Posted 2 hours ago I'm really pleased with the results. I'll have to get myself together and record some samples. The 8 coil pickup is very hot (not suprising) and full sounding. Then with the nfp you can get dub tones and most stuff in between as well as having an in built wah pedal if you wiggle the knob. But the graphite neck cleans everything up. Quote
