Recommendation - Strings for Fender Mini P?

Anyone have this bass and can recommend some strings please? 

 

Conscious that is very short scale. 

 

Cost effective Nickel strings preferred as its just for my son.

That’s great for your son, I’ve got one which I use for noodling on the sofa which has flats on, I think there’s a few suggestions in this thread which might be worth a flick though
