Rich Posted Thursday at 09:03 Posted Thursday at 09:03 (edited) I've had this a couple of weeks actually, but just used it in a band setting for the first time last night. Very impressed. This one was a bargain as it was a right mess (see 'before' pic) but a bit of paint and a cleanup later, it's much better. It sounds great, and will perform its intended role of rehearsal/small gig amp perfectly. The amp it's replacing is an old Behringer 60w 1x12, which is outclassed in every way by this. Remarkably the TC is several pounds lighter than the Behringer too, despite being somewhat larger. Anyone else using a BG250 combo like this? Likes & dislikes? I have yet to play with the Toneprint thingy and to be honest I probably won't bother. It sounds fine as it is. Edited Thursday at 09:04 by Rich 3 Quote
lemmywinks Posted yesterday at 09:37 Posted yesterday at 09:37 Spotted that one on eBay, good score and looks miles better now. RE the Toneprint - I use the Spectracomp almost exclusively but also like the chorus, worth looking into as you can effectively turn it into a set and forget extra feature of your choosing. The comp'n'drive is also cool. 1 Quote
Tokalo Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago I got one from the local tip shop. It needed cleaning, and a replacement handle. It’s the older version, and I can’t connect my laptop to the TonePrint downloads. So it’s just got a chorus on the TP control. It has a separate drive control, and sounds quite good. (I don’t really need it - I’ve offered it to my son’s school as a free loan because they don’t have a bass amp, but they’ve taken over 6 months to think about whether they want it or not) 2 Quote
