Cab that will compliment the tone hammer

Hey peeps,

 

hope everyone is well and catching a tan in this weather lol. 
 

I am looking for a compact cab that will compliment the tone hammer. I’m looking for a compact size. The first one that comes to mind is the barefaced one10. Is there any others anyone could recommend for around that price range or cheaper ( it going to be for jamming at home with the misses who plays piano)?. 
 

I play a pbass Asian ash with maple fretboard. Chrome flats or dead rotosounds and playing style is all fingerstyle. 
 

I LOVE the ashdown abm evo head but it’s over kill atm for home I feel.

I use a One10 at home. Does the job perfectly.

The One10 is a good call, difficult to beat for the requirements

That’s fair. I’ve never bought an amp and cab before only combos. Not sure on any other options.

I don't know the amp you're using but I'm running my One10 with an 800 watt Thunderfunk. Even at a whisper it sounds great.

 

I've also gigged my 2 One10's with an Aguilar TH500. I loved that tone.

Any decent cab will do the job. TH is light and compact, so take it to a few shops and try stuff with it.

Thanks mate. Ive started the search for a used one10. Would love to try one but I doubt anyone is near me with one. From what I’ve heard on barefaced YouTube channel it sounds warm yet articulate.

Good shoot actually. In central London. Not many music stores are around anymore. Guitar guitar in Camden, the bass gallery, wunjos guitars in Denmark street. That all I can think about regarding cabs.

 The Gallery has quite a good stock. When I lived in London, I used to take a day off work and head for Bass Direct (straight up the M40, so not a bad journey) on the rare occasions when I wanted to make a major purchase. Go in the week when it's quiet and you can try stuff to your heart's content. Add a nice pub lunch and it's a pleasant, albeit pricey, day out.

I called the bass gallery this week but they stated they don’t work with barefaced anymore nor do they have any in stock atm. Didn’t have any compact cabs during the time.

It's been three years since I left the Smoke. I guess the Gallery has changed since. They used to have a good selection. Whilst BF are undoubtedly excellent cabs, they do tend to be an automatic recommendation, when in reality, they're far from being the only option. Stevie on here offers the LFSys designs, which I like a lot.

 

I also play in a soul band and use PJB cabs (with an AG700 rather than a TH head). They work very well for me, with a nice blend of warmth and clarity. The downside is that they're a bit inefficient and you need several to make a lot of noise.

Appreciate this. As I was going to work around Camden I went to the bass gallery today. Tried the three cabs with time hammer. Trace Elliot 110, ampeg 112 and Aguilar sL112. Didn’t really like the trace Elliot. Ampeg was ok. Aguilar was very nice. Very mid focused. Warm and articulate. To big and rather pricey for home use if you ask me.
