Thinking of shifting the whole lot and getting a digital unit. Wanna recoup some cash and mix things up!

I have curated this board over a number of years adding in a pedal here and there for a specific tones. I may well back down but this is a very ‘motivated’ feeler thread to say the least.

Top row

basically my direct to FOH/IEM pathway. Any one of these pedals would be a grab and go solution for live.

Simone £850

One of the ‘best value’ all tube preamps for bass. Greater tonal variation than the Noble, 3 band EQ and the Sensitivity control really allows you to dial in the feel of the unit (I’ve heard it described as an impedance type control adding body dimension width and all those other marketing buzz words. It really is a thing of sonic beauty. Cinemag transformer

on the DI tuned to Jule Amps spec.

Only demo I can find is the Hondo Felder one on you tube.

Taurus Servo £125

wonderdul thickening/fattening tube pedal to enhance a digital signal, warm up an IEM/direct signal. Nabbed recently and a little overkill after Simone. I normally have a Hyper Luminal

compressor in this spot (also for sale)!

Two Notes Cab M+ £110

Love this - simply brilliant and combined with the Servo all you need to grab and go gigging.

Bottom Row

Pork&Pickle (regular size) £120

Excels at low gain but can do overdrive or fuzz. I found it made a really nice always on low gain unit to poke out in a live mix. What’s better than being heard? Heard and felt!

Basswitch Compressor £160

Not many of these Basswitch units seen in the wild before the inventor retired. It’s a clever and versatile dual band comp. Adds in a lovely thump - I’ve promised this to a fellow BC’er as ‘first dibs’ but adding here too. I’ll update if he says no!

Basswitch Enhanced OD £160

Another lesser seen unit. I really dig this drive for its versatility and tones. It’s basically two voices in one unit in that the tone control works like a eq curve shift. At one end of the range it sounds very ampeg/scoopy and as you turn to the opposite end of the range the eq curve shifts to a mid bump. It’s a very full sounding drive and really fills out the mid range especially useful in a trio etc. it pairs wonderfully with the P&P listed above for gain staging goodness.

Duality Duzz £90

Again two voicings available (See a theme) which can be swept through with the related knob. Big dirty fuzz tones in a wee box! Simples! Early run made in Seattle I think. Says on the base I can check if it’s useful info.

Funkulator £125

A real sleeper pedal which can go from a finger style ‘enhance’ or as the knob is dialled up increase the scoop at 800Hz while maintaining lows and highs. It makes a jazz bass sound even more jazz like without taking away from the basses voice. It makes my JMJ (think p bass) take on a whole new voice and it’s really good at taking an existing drive pedal and giving it that scooped voicing. Why these weren’t more popular as a utility pedal I’ll never know!

Happy to post UK only. Simone will require higher insurance etc so let’s discuss the cost and split if it’s prohibitive.
