dub_junkie Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago Bought Waynesworld's Doug Wilkes off him at the weekend. Sound, feel and playability are top notch. Been taking it to rehearsals and the Sadowsky Metroline stayed in its bag the whole time. Bodywork is tulipwood/poplar and the 24 fret neck is birdseye maple. I think the pickups are Bartolini MMC and the preamp is a Bartolini NTMB+F. Quote
Rich Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Wow. The only Wilkes bass I've ever laid hands on was a fretless with the big slap plates in the fingerboard, that was a proper monster. This looks gorgeous. What's the string spacing at the bridge? Looks like 17 or so in the pics? 1 Quote
dub_junkie Posted 1 hour ago Author Posted 1 hour ago Believe it is 17mm. It's easy going across the strings, which I like 🙂 Quote
