Would the DOD Meatbox get me in a close enough ballpark. It doesn't need to be absolutely perfect. There will be big subs and pa support, and we're using IEMs, so I don't need to worry about blowing up any backline! Also, on an unrelated note - and I imagine this must have been asked a few times - does a cheaper and available alternative to the low gain fuzz of the Doom 2 exist? Cheers. Thanks @Quatschmacher In terms of the 808, I've been using a subby octave down in practice and that actually sounds good.
