So yeah, for some reason my straplock seems to be coming loose

Do you mean the screw that attaches into the bass? If so then your screw hole has got a little enlarged and you could use dowel, cocktail sticks, matches and or glue to fill the cavity a bit. There's lots of suggestions if you do a search.
Alternatively over here in the UK we have "Yorkshire screws" which are reverse threads: they might be your answer...(only joking!) :)

Yeah, basically your two options are either to fill the hole with wood filler, let it set for a day and then redrill the hole (not recommended for the inexperienced) or to basically glue the screw in there with araldite or some other appropriate adhesive.

And get new straplocks :)
