I had this and it’s fretted brother made for me a few years ago now. The build Quality is up there with the best, the neck is a five string version (wider obviously) of a 4 String Warwick Thumb I had at that time. Easy to play I also had the ‘note’ dots mimic the array the the NS uprights have, it looks good. And because I’m a Scorpio I had the Symbol added to the 12th (fret) note. It came with a Piezo bridge pickup which I removed and replaced with a bridge whose name I will append when I check it out, and a Delano XTENDER 5 HE, but kept the passive status. It comes with a shaped hard-case.

This is a dream to play, the NT construction is sublime as is the overall finish, it’s a lovely bass, 35” Scale which is a Divil for me with my left arms lack of mobility. Sorry to see it go but with no band no prospects I’m sticking with the Streamline for now, just in case.

Any trial at my Leicester shed, delivery possible within 75 miles or so. No trades as such but a small combo might be the exception.

Thanks for looking I will post the additional information tomorrow, nut width, bridge width, string space at both and a copy of the spec sheet.

Some more info:

35” Scale, black hardware, passive Delano pick up vol/tone. Tuners are Gotoh. High grade Fretless ebony board. Abelone side dots, face as per the NS CRM upright bass, Scorpion inlay at 12th position. Body wood figured Maple black pin stripe, neck wood figured Maple black pinstripe. Top wood Maple Burr, waxed natural finish.

String spacing at the nut is 9mm, at the bridge 15mm in line with my Warwick Thumb 4 I had at the time. There are no blemishes on this bass, the jointing is as solid as the day it was finished, it’s a smooth finish all round.

This bass as good if not better than the Tanglewood 6ixer that I sold here months ago. Smooth neck, easy playability, it’s gorgeous in its entirety. The only addition that would improve it would be a Pre with additional tone controls. Apart from that….

Guy’s, any trial, you will be amazed at the quality of construction of this “ One Off” bass. I was noodling with it the other day and it’s great, I’m downsizing moving to 34” scale. There absolutely no movement in the joints at all, it’s all solid.

Whoa, stop the bus! I’m letting G.A.S. get the better of my judgement here. I was downsizing from 35” scale to 34” in the belief it would alleviate the lack of mobility in my left arm!  Kaspische? What a load of old madam, I used the Sandberg 35” today for two hours going through tunes, very little effect.   So guys I’m keeping this 35” scale unlined fretless and putting a Delano Sonar 2 Pre in it….
