Four 8ohm Speakers, One 4 ohm Output

Hi, as the title suggests I have four speakers, each one rated 8 ohm, and wish to wire them in such a way that they will be safe to use with an amp which has but one output.

The amp is rated at 4 ohm minimum. Here's my question. Is this diagram correct?

That's a good diagram, because if any one driver fails, it will still continue to function.

However, it's 8 Ohms total:

8+8 in parallel = 4 (the pairs on left & right)

4+4 in series = 8 (left through to right is in series)

It's still safe for your amp, BUT you'll get roughly half the Power
