I'm selling my super-lovely acoustic bass. It is legitimately the best, fullest and loudest sounding acoustic bass I have ever played and I've played many and owned a few previously. There is no better acoustic bass for the money!!!

Equipped with high-end Nautilus Posydon pickup (with volume control situated in the side of the sound hole,) means the plugged in tone is way better than you've probably ever heard for an acoustic bass.

Also comes with the decent Tom & Will gig bag pictured, in very good condition. Plays and sounds great with a very comfortable neck; neck is straight and truss rod is in great shape.

Recently strung with an awesome sounding set of DR Handmade acoustic bass strings. Nice!

Specs can be found on the Stanford Guitars website here:

Condition is overall good, with some finish loss on the back of the neck as shown in pictures, just from playing - so nothing major. There's also a couple of finish scrapes near the heel (as pictured), and some slight scuffs to the headstock top edge which are pretty much unnoticeable.

Not looking for trades as I need to raise some cash. Collection from the Preston Park area of Brighton is strongly preferred as I'm not keen on sending an acoustic bass that doesn't have a hard case due to the situation with couriers refusing to insure instruments sent without a hard case.  A meet-up within a reasonable distance from Brighton is also a possibility.

Here's my feedback:

Any questions, let me know. Cheers!

Definitely an unusual look. I had a hunt round the internet to see if I could find some reviews or sound clips. I came across this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p7S-6GHSOuI  The review is very favourable, though it is in French 🙂

More importantly the bass sounds  gorgeous.  There's variation with the tone control, and even just acoustically it's very, very,  very, nice.  Now - how on earth do I justify it?

Have a free bump up.

Alas my elderly PC died last week and needs replacing,  and I have just seen the size of the quote for replacing the bathroom suite. Otherwise I really would be tempted. Lovely, lovely sound.

GLWTS!

I hear that, certainly does suck being a grownup sometimes. Thanks again and good luck with the bathroom and PC replacements 👍

Just been asked about string spacing on this bass: it's 11 mm at the nut, and 16mm at the bridge.

De fretted with a few marks and an interesting take on line marking(see pics) with a bit of imagination you could rectify this.Black nylon flats, great upright sound has volume and tone preamplifier,a bargain at this price, based in Halifax Yorkshire.
