boss oc 2 octave problem

hi i have just received a boss oc 2 a japan version and i have a problem when i play my bass into it i make my amp distorted, i have a musicman stingray and a aguilar ag500, when i turn the volume right down on my bass the pedal sound fine with not distortion. i have tried a friends fender jazz and it sounds fine has anyone else had this problem rob

ya it just goes straight into the the input on the amp , bass, oc2, amp i will try the eq flat and lowering the pickup

ya my settings are bass full, mid full, treble off that is the problem

yeah itl almost certainly be the bass being full thats the problem ;) Just boost the bass using your amp instead

That's the problem. I've got to be honest, that's a crazy EQ. Do your EQ for sound shaping on your amp and leave the EQ on your bass flat, this will solve the issue with the OC-2.
