Did he happen to have one at the LBGS? Looks like an update to the curvier hollow body he was seen with about three or four years ago? Much like the previous hollowbody bass, it really doesn't sound great to my ears. That's no slight on John, as he sounded great using both Ken Smith and his Yamaha TRB basses.
