alembic1989 Posted May 29, 2017 Share Posted May 29, 2017 Good morning all. A simple question. Were reflex red bass pick ups any good, and how do they compare to modern pick ups. I know its all in the ear of the beholder, but wanted to know if anyone has had experience of using them, and what they through of the tone and sound quality compared to today's offerings. The Bass Doc told me he'd fitted a set to a clients fender and the client thought the slap sound was better than his musicman I could be wrong, but i recall hearing they were EMG copies made by Schaller! mep Posted May 29, 2017 Share Posted May 29, 2017 I had a set on my Charvel 2B after I replaced the original passive pups. After about 25 years they need replacing and I got some EMG's.
