Jack Posted April 17, 2017 Posted April 17, 2017 (edited) [s]MBF: £450[/s] SOLD [s]MBE: £220 SOLD[/s] [s]MB500: £300[/s] SOLD Hello all! So, I'm admittedly a little bit of a GK fanboy. However I've recently been using my pedalboard to go straight to the desk as my band have stopped using backline. So I'm selling off some of my amp collection... to fund a GK Plex preamp! Both the MBF and the MBE are in mint condition, the MB500 has a shinier, flimsier coating though and so is showing some scratches. All of these amps work flawlessly though. I have the footswitch and cable for the MBF (I bought that one new) but not for the MB500 as I purchased it used and the seller didn't have them. Prices include UK postage, but if you want to collect or trial I'm about ten minutes north of Newcastle. I'm also happy to meet up or deliver within a reasonable distance. Cash is king, but I will accept trades, please feel free to PM me with offers. I am however particularly looking for a GK Plex, a nice powered wedge and an EUB. EDIT - The photos below are uploading badly for some reason, my photobucket is here with the same pictures at a higher resolution. Thanks! Jack Edited May 1, 2017 by Jack
Jack Posted April 17, 2017 Author Posted April 17, 2017 MBF and MBE on hold. Quite a queue for the fusion actually, who'd have thought? MB500 still for sale!
loweringthetone Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 Worth saying that I recently traded with Jack, and he's one of the good guys. GLWTS
Jack Posted April 25, 2017 Author Posted April 25, 2017 Thanks mate, :-) MB500 also now sold, price drop on the sole remaining head!
Dan Dare Posted April 26, 2017 Posted April 26, 2017 Can't find specs for the MBE online. What are they, please?
Jack Posted April 26, 2017 Author Posted April 26, 2017 Hi Dan, they can be found here. It's a small (class D sized) head that puts out around 100W at 8R and 150W at 4R. Huge array of sounds with 4-band (2-band semi parametric) eq, boost, stereo chorus, low cut, contour. More IO than you would ever need too, with 2 DIs and effects loops, aux in, blah blah blah. The ultimate studio amp basically.
loweringthetone Posted April 26, 2017 Posted April 26, 2017 (edited) The MBE-III is simply the head that was used in the MB150E-III microbass combo. GK used to manufacture two very similar combos, the MB150S-III (no chorus) and the MB150E-III (with chorus). They dont seem to make the E -version any more. Both are widely respected by DBass players, and I personally love their tone for older bass guitars, P basses in particular. With the matching 112MBX cabs, I use them all the time for gigs in small/medium venues. In bigger venues they have plenty of options for output into a PA. Full spec in Jack's post above. Hope this helps Edited April 26, 2017 by loweringthetone
