*SOLD*

I am not the first owner and the bass is in the exact same condition as I received it locally (in a partial trade).
The bass is in working condition but has the following issues:

1. The active passive switch is not working at the moment - the bass only works in the [s]passive *[/s]active* mode. The vol/blend/3-band Noll preamp are all functional. The switch has 3 positions and it works only on one setting which is the active mode. In the other 2 positions, the volume output is very faint - much lesser than a normal passive output. (unless the pick-ups are active and the switch positions are for some series/parallel configuration that is not working - I am afraid I do not know and don't know enough to figure it out form the circuitry. I would have to take it to a technician for that.)

2. The truss rod cap is missing and the truss rod is not adjustable using an usual allen key. The key fits the slot but the truss rod itself seems stuck - am not able to rotate it in either direction. The neck is slightly concave with a higher action up the neck but without any buzz at any point.

I've been playing the bass in the passive mode and do not miss the active preamp.
While the bass can be played as it is, the buyuer might need to have the preamp checked and fixed. The truss rod might need to be fixed or changed.

The bass original costs around 2250euros/2000GBP. A second hand bass without the above issues would be around 1500euros/1333GBP.
The sale price is reduced to reflect the above condition and repairs that might be required to fix it.

The bass ... has the following issues:
1. The active passive switch is not working at the moment - the bass only works in the passive mode. (I have forgotten the preamp brand - I think it is Noll but I will check and update here soon)
2. The truss rod cap is missing and the truss rod is not adjustable using an usual key (the neck is still straight and without any buzz at any point).

?.. have you spoken with B/Lines re. the issues?
Could you include a photo of the electronics and a close-up of the truss rod (end): is it a standard type which has been worn/stripped (?) ... or an unusual/older type (the likes of Pedulla & Gibson) ?

I haven't contacted Bassline. I thought initially of getting it fixed at a local guitar shop but then decided to sell it if someone else wants to a proper repair.
I will update the details of the trussrod and some photos tomorrow.

I have added photos to the albums with some close-up photos I tried to take of the truss rod end. It is a standard type which accepts an allen key. The end is not worn or stripped as the key catches in the slot. However, the rod is not turning in either direction - it seems stuck. The key falls off if I try to force to turn it. Have left it as it is now.

I wrote to Bassline with the photos and description of the problems and received the following response:

"1 ) the switch must be the active/passive switch, and should work ,if the wiring is correct
2) we could change the head of the truss rod,the you can use it as it should work"

I have now asked for the cost of changing the head of the truss rod and will update here once I receive the details.
