Triple P bass pickup??

I have not seen a triple p bass pickup bass before, is there much point?

Hell yes - you get the sound of a P, a P elite (80's) and something approaching a Telebass - with the right P pickup you could get that ultra fat, overwound sound.

Can't compete with the real deal however:

I'm disturbingly tempted by the idea of building a Triple P with a maple/pearl blocks J neck. Possibly with inverted Tele-style headstock...
