Not again!

There were a couple of guys on basstalk looking for GB's. While the site is still up it might be worth sending them a PM (if you can).

There have been quite a few GB Spitfires sold while you have been doing the sale/no sale bit. The reason they sold for good money is because the sellers put some effort into selling them.

Ian,

Can you tell me anything about the electrics - are the pickups single coil or humbuckers? What's the preamp spec? I've got a five string I'm thinking about moving on (and really only thinking about at the moment) which you might be interested in.

Cheers,

Mark

Hi Ian,

Okay, I'll drop Bernie an e-mail. The 5 string I may have available (I stress may) is a Blueburst Zoot Custom with EMG Musicman and Jazz pickups and an Aguilar OBP-3 preamp. It's also got LED's. I've had it a few weeks and am still getting to grips with it as I've always been a 4 string player. I'm finding it easy enough to get on with but if I don't use the low B then I'd have to admit there's little point in keeping it really.

Cheers,

Mark

Ahem. Bernie's not very good with email, as far as computers are concerned he struggles with the primary function defeat switch.

Unlike many custom builders Bernies stock basses use his own pick-ups and electrics (not built by John East like everyone else). The pickups are dual coil and they also have a series parallel switch. The pan contol is buffered so you dont get phase canellation with both pups on. The volume control has clicks for easy setting. 3 band 18v eq with +-21db cut/boost. Another cool feature is there is a light that blinks to indicate battery condition.
