FatFingers
I saw that Thomann had recently removed the HB Thunderbird copy from its website but when checking yesterday I noticed it had reappeared but wiith a bit of a facelift. Does anyone know whether this was by choice or not? http://www.thomann.de/be/Harley_Benton_tb_70vs.htm It was the tb 70 but is now designated bt 70. I think I prefer the old version! Che
I rather like the new version. Thomann has not changed the Fender-style models but it did change all the Gibson-style models, so I assume the Big G had something to do with it All the single cut, double cut, 335's have got a new shape. Either they look like 'Vintage' or 'ESP'
ben4343
I'm not super keen on these new ones either... Don't like the scoop on the lower horn (mine doesn't look quite like that), and I'm not the biggest fan of reversed headstocks truth be told. Interesting that all of the 'Gibsons' got a make over, good spot.
James Nada
I quite like that. I actually think it'd look really good upside down (played by a left hander) - its a shame they don't do a 'non-reverse' Thunderbird stlye.
buelljack
Hmmm, not sure im a fan, I have the old T bird, it plays great, we host a Jam night locally and I take along the Harley as I leave the bass up on stage for anyone wanting to Jam that hasn't fetched their own bass, so I dont mind if its knocked about a bit (unlike my Epiphone Pro Bird 4 that will snap its headstock if I look at it wrong!) howdenspur
I think the new one looks like a "tribute" to the Ltd Phoenix 204/1004...if you look at the cutaway and reverse headstock. Coincidence I'm sure, but the Phoenix is out of production I think Edited October 30, 2015 by howdenspur
DarkHeart
I like that but its such a shame they couldnt have just put an ordinary generic type of bridge on it that was easily upgradeable.
