GILLY Posted July 27, 2015 Share Posted July 27, 2015 (edited) Bought this bass from Mansons in August 2013. The colour is Translucent Gold. Never been a fan of natural finishes but this is really classy. Body wood is Ash I believe. Rosewood fingerboard. There is one little knock on the very top of the headstock, which happened on the very day I bought this bass (see photo) but it is otherwise unmarked. 9lbs according to the bathroom scales, which surprised me because it always felt light. I should point out that I had a Nordstrand MM4.2 pickup installed, but I kept the original and it will be supplied with the bass. This alone was a £100 upgrade, and well worth it in my opinion. It still sounds exactly like a Stingray but with a more even response across all four strings and a slightly more 'contained' top end. I certainly wouldn't go back to the original, but there is that option. The bass comes with a Musicman hard case. p&p certainly an option or could meet within 30 miles M5 J23. CASH SALE ONLY THANKS. GILLY Posted August 3, 2015 Author Share Posted August 3, 2015 BUMP for a significant price drop to £675 inc p&p within UK. I had a PM asking about the neck profile and finish. The neck is not in any way chunky, as some describe them, and the action is low.
