Hi

I'm after examples of the sounds the ODB-3 is capable of making, looking around at different pedals the favourite is currently the EHX Bass Big Muff, but considering the price and it's seemingly love or hate status on here. I'd actually like to hear some proper examples of non modified versions. There's gotta be a fair few around I just don't seem to be able to find them, so anyway help would be great!

from the sounds samples iv heard, id rather have a black muff tbh, but iv never tried it

i may have a bash at recording some samples of the odb-3 to show how good a pedal it is tomorrow, although my laptops sound card cant handle distortion so this could pose a problem

Go on to the Compact Pedal Demo link and the ODB-3 is on there.
I have done and it sounds very good, but I find general users examples of pedals paticularly with showing with and without the effect on to be much much more helpful and more accurate in showing what realistic tone I can expect.

i know the audio is generally s**t, but have you tried youtube? sometimes, there are surprisingly good examples of pedals on there, and the ODB-3 is a pretty common pedal.

Yeah have tried youtube, and kept finding modified versions or videos of the pedal with totally non related audio tracks over the top. Surprised me considering how common it is.

Just after hearing so many varied opinions would be good to hear the tone that you guys that love them can get out of one.
I use an ODB-3 pedal (which I actually don't like very much and am going to change soon).

I was looking for some samples of the sound, but couldn't find any on my PC. Am happy to do a quick recording if you like.

In the meantime, it's crappy youtube quality, but there's a couple of live vids of us playing where you should be able to hear the ODB-3. The quality (of the audio and the VERY drunken playing) aren't great, but you can maybe get something from it:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c8ee0OVLRLQ - The first song uses quite a lot of ODB-3 after the "techno-synth" bit at around 30 secs. A bit tricky to pick out the bass over the distorted guitar. I don't think there's any ODB-3 in the second half of the set (which is also on youtube here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QO6RVNYS-g8...eature=related), but there may be!

now you see i dont like those samples, i dont think the odb-3 works very well with the sansamp, sounds quite brittle and too much high end, however there are 2 samples that doesnt use the sansamp, 3rd from last and last, which i like a lot, 2nd one particularly isnt far off how i use mine
