Dood
Hey all! I'm sure Ive asked this before but I've had a senior moment. I'm looking for some Mac software to test frequency response of audio devices such as preamplifiers and pedals. I don't want to spend a fortune and of course if there are IOS apps that can do the same, they would be fine too as I have the hardware ready. So I guess if it's not in one app specifically I need to be able to inject a signal from a suitable 'generator' then receive the audio in to a spectrum analyser of sorts to read off the results. Thank you in advance for your help and suggestions,

Woodinblack
Tricky thing on that is having a decent input source, so that you are not just measuring the frequency response of the input hardware at different levels. I used this a while back when I was looking at stuff: http://www.arizona-software.ch/audioxplorer/ though I see it has been retired, it may still be working. A search would also show http://www.dogparksoftware.com/iSpectrum.html which looks interesting. Haven't tried anything for a while as I have a DSO with frequency analysis. [/quote] I use that one to tweak the PA in a live sound situation. Works great and doesn't cost a lot of money :-)
