jamesugster
Hi All, Here is my beautiful Overwater 5 String J Series Jazz Bass that the chaps in Carlisle made for me back in 2005. This is a top quality professional instrument which has done a hell of a lot of work with me over the years. I'm looking at selling this because it's very much under used at the moment and my career is going a slightly different direction with in the music business. Here are the specs:

5 Sting
35' Scale Length
Bartolini Pickups
John East E Pro Deluxe / 3 bass EQ with passive tone
Quilted Top (I think that's the correct term!)
The condition of the bass is as you would expect from an instrument which has been used professionally. There are a few dinks etc in the lacquer but nothing which would constitute as damage in my opinion. No Trades. The bass is based in Tring, Hertfordshire. These bases look like they are upwards of £2,500 now and that is with out the preamp & Barts. So I hope the above price seems reasonable! Currently the bass has no case (as I use mono gig bags all the time now) and needed to make space in my house!! Cheers James
hubrad
I'd call it flamed maple top. I have an ebony board fretless just like this.. tone monster!! GLWTS, at this price it's a steal! :-)
jamesugster
Thanks I'm not an expert in that respect! I had them make me a matched 5 a while back which I had to sell because of back problems - that sounded amazing! Cheers James

jamesugster
Thank Drax! In all honestly the 35" scale doesn't really feel that different to a 34".... I can go between them pretty easily

d_g
Hi James, do you know the weight of this bass? Thanks
jamesugster
Just seen this message.... This bass comes in around the 4.7kg mark. Had to use the bathroom scales which I know isn't the most accurate way of doing things!! But should give an indication....
