Hi. For sale is my AER Basscube II and AER AS Sub360D

Purchased new, by me, 9 months ago at a cost of £4300.

I don't need to go into detail about this amp. If you know about AER, you know what this amp is all about. It's incredible. The tonal performance, functionality, dynamic range, throw, punch and perfect balance are expert level. From crisp trebles to growling lows thing really kicks in a stately and focused way. Quite possibly the most wonderful amps ever made.
You will almost never see this rig for sale. It's not a retailers amp. The kind of thing you buy once and keep forever (except if you're predominantly a drummer like me...and you need to sell it to fund working capital...). It doesn't colour the hell out of your sound like a Mark/TC/Ampeg etc etc. It's an extremely clean sounding amp. It's what AER are best known for. A connoisseurs amp. Very boutique and extremely high end. Reason I'm selling is I am predominantly a drummer and my needs are focused towards that at present but I'm not looking for a quick sale with this Amp. If it sells, it sells. If not, I love it so much and am equally happy to keep it. I'm not a gigging bass player so this has never left my house. It's sat in the same place the whole time I've had it. This is is also extremely powerful so, save for the odd occasion it has been used with my cans on! It's way too loud for me to be able to play it for any length of time in my house. This amp has never ever been pushed anywhere near it's capability. And has always been treated like over 4 grands worth of amp. No smoky environment, no kids, no pets, no drinks, food or greasy mitts near it.

Not a single blemish on it. It's really in new condition Included in the sale are all leads, covers and AER 'Tilt System' (wedge)...if you just want to use the Basscube II without the Sub. An expert level bass amp for acoustic, electric and upright. Still under warranty...although I seem to have misplaced the physical copy right now. That can be extended to 5 years. I will contact AER and have them send me a copy.

Located in Northampton. Any trial/inspection welcome. Can deliver up to an hour outside of Northampton.
I can also arrange worldwide shipping.

Hi, AER make fantastic amps, would you consider splitting these or any trades?
Hi Chris. They do indeed make incredible amps. To be honest I'd rather see this rig go as a complete set as I bought it that way for it's perfect match and capability. The Sub is active and would make a fantastic addition to any rig, but really, it is a perfect match for the Basscube.

I'd be more than happy to let them go separately if 2 separate parties came forward for both main amp and sub. The Basscube is truly amazing on its own, coupled with the sub though makes this a seriously capable complete rig. I'd welcome anyone to come and try out both. The Basscube will blow you away...with the Sub you'll be astonished. It's really controlled and not overbearing. Just adds such an expanse of tonal content and colour to the mix.

In terms of trades, I'd be willing to trade on both the Basscube and Sub together. I'm not keen to trade on just the Basscube or just the Sub. I'd be ok with going up to a grands worth of [your] amp (Mesa, Ampeg, Mark), the rest in funds.

Hope this clarifies.
Thanks.

J.

Absolutely beautiful rig - reference quality tone no doubt. I have the Amp One - a little brother by comparison but still an outstanding bass amp. Clearly it takes a lot to justify such a price tag for most players, however, where no compromises are possible, this could be the ultimate medium-sized rig. I'd genuinely take this over Meyer

The Amp One is an amazing piece of kit also. One of the reasons I went for this rig initially. You're right, It's a hefty price tag for sure, and I don't imagine this rig will sell quickly, but I think AER's warrant digging deep, as you know being an AER owner, you definitely get exactly what you pay for.

Thanks for the kind endorsement Loz. I appreciated that.

I also have an AER amp one and got me tempted by the bass cube but would probably be looking at divorce proceedings if I bought this, great amps, great sound, I can just imagine the low end you get out of that sub!
The Basscube II itself has plenty of bottom, more than enough, and then you switch the sub on... It certainly makes you smile from ear to ear Chris. With my Jazz bass running through it, it's wonderful.

I definitely welcome any trial for anyone interested. Just don't be bringing the wife round...as you say, it'd be a rough ride home.

:)

I thought the initial price was a typo :)
Nope. No typo. High end quality German amp. Big price tag I'm afraid. Speak to those who know about AER... I think they'd agree they're worth every penny. You're more than welcome to come and have a coffee or 3 and try the rig out. :)

Now Sold.

Could I just make everyone aware that this rig sold yesterday (Sunday 1st June). I have been paid, in full, for it and it will be on it's way to it's new owner later this week.

The reason I'm making this point is because since the listing ended yesterday it has been brought to my attention that a fake eBay listing has been made. The 'seller' has simply copied my listing and is attempting to offer this amp for sale for £1300 ish.

The eBay member listing the fake ad uses the name 'shaggy110773' and is apparently based in Colchester but if you search eBay members for 'shaggy110773' his profile is listed in Holland with 100% positive feedback...Could be a genuine user who's had his identity cloned...

Please be advised the listing is 100% FAKE! The amp is 100% SOLD! to a UK buyer based in Nottingham.

It's some kind of scam. I also received from a number of suspicious Italian eBay emails last week leading up to the listing end which when clicked on, directed me to eBay Italy but they didn't appear in my UK eBay message inbox. eBay have been sent all emails and fake listing profiles and hopefully it will be dealt with before whoever, the unscrupulous b*****d, is can scam anyone. If you do manage to see the listing and would like to report it, that will help in getting the listing removed.

Mods, would it be possible, before you lock this ad, to let anyone chime in if they have any information about the fake seller or if they have experienced this themselves.

Cheers to all the interested BC'ers for the offers. Now to find a suitable replacement! :)

Thank you.
