peety
I had been thinking about getting my Lakland BG refinished for a while as it is the one bass i'll never sell and i'd always wanted one in olympic white and they don't do a skyline in this colour and i can't justify paying £2000 plus for a USA, So when my bass got dropped after a gig and got quite badly damaged on the bottom edge i decided to take the plunge. Having done a bit of research on here i decided to go with Dave Wilson after seeing some pictures of his work and testimonials and recommendations from basschat members. I asked Dave to repair and refinish it in Olympic White with matching headstock and also make me a white pearl guard to fit, having seen the bass Dave suggested he did the white with a vintage tint to match the creamy colour of the sheet of pearl for the guard. Thankfully i took his advice and to me the result is stunning, everything i could have asked for and more. Dave has been excellent throughout the process keeping me informed with updates and pictures, he obviously takes great pride in his work and all i can say is if anyone is looking to have a bass refinished you should definitely contact Dave as i can't recommend him highly enough. Anyway enough of the waffle i have attached a couple of before and after pictures, what i will say is that my appalling photographic skills do not do Daves work justice. First the bass in original form Then after Dave has worked his magic
Legion
Very nice - mind if I ask how you managed to get a decal for the headstock? as I've considered the same thing myself.
I've had a few deacls made by Dec-Art Decals and they were superb. He can do virtually anything.
