RAY AGAINST THE MACHINE Posted January 18, 2014 Share Posted January 18, 2014 I have a few effects for bass already, but after recording a short noodle on garageband, I used the chorus effect on that for convenience. Having scrolled down the interface, it got me thinking. If there are effects already built in to garage band, if you're not gigging, do you really need effects ? It's a lot easier for me to plug my board in than it is to try & get VST fx to try & emulate filter sweeps & Murf sequences (which would probably be impossible without Moog filtration). BigBassBob Posted January 19, 2014 Share Posted January 19, 2014 Definitely depends on what effects you're using. I find modulation, delay and reverb are passable on a computer.
