[/quote] I've not noticed it. It isn't common for me. I've got basses with the screws straight into wood and a bass with inserts. Also, you shouldn't overtighten screws - you'll knacker the thread that's been cut into the wood, rendering the hole too big to hold the screw properly. Worked in musical instrument retail for a while too, including UK distribution of a US brand where we thoroughly checked every instrument before they were sent out to dealers - that's a LOT of instruments & I've never come across it or ever had anyone mention it as a problem before. DanEly Posted June 15, 2014 Share Posted June 15, 2014 Ive noticed this ever so slightly on my Jap Jazz. I've had the neck off a fair bit and I still can't get a action I'm happy with yet.
